This delicious recipe is from Jane Brody's Good Book Book.

Turkey Burgers

Yields 6 servings

1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup dried bread crumbs, preferably whole-grain
3 TBLS finely chopped onion
2 TBLS ketchup
1 TBLS lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. soy sauce (we used reduced sodium)
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1. Combine all ingredients, and shape the mixture into 6 patties.
2. Fry, broil, or grill the burgers until they are done, about 5 minutes a side.
3. Serve in whole wheat pitas with lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Enjoy!
